Description: Logan Rotary Club is proud to sponsor The Logan Rotary RAW. Utah’s newest and most scenic recreational bicycle event featuring a fun 25-mile family/friend ride along the valley floor to the mouth of Sardine Canyon, and a challenging 72-mile ride starting and ending in Logan but riding around the base of the steepest mountains in North America… the Wellsvlle Mountains! This route passes through Wellsville before climbing up Sardine Canyon, roughly 1700 feet and descending 1350 feet into Brigham City. There you turn north and pass through Honeyville and Deweyville. Just beyond Deweyville, the route turns east and climbs 650 feet before providing a spectacular Cache Valley vista and descending 500 feet into Mendon returning to the starting point at Willow Rotary Pavilion at Willow Park. For the Century Riders a 100 mile route is also offered, which extends west of the Wellsville range. There are four rest stops at miles 14, 31, 46 and 62. Early registration is encouraged and is rewarded with a reduced fee. However registration will be accepted up to the morning of the ride. And, a fantastic yummy lunch awaits you at the finish. Route: The 72-mile Rotary RAW features a challengingly beautiful ride circumnavigating the steepest mountains in North America! This route passes through Wellsville before climbing up Sardine Canyon, roughly 1700 feet and descending 1350 feet into Brigham City. There you turn north and pass through Honeyville and Deweyville. Just beyond Deweyville, the route turns east and climbs 650 feet before providing a spectacular Cache Valley vista and descending 500 feet into Mendon returning to the starting point at Willow Horseshoe Park. There are four rest stops at miles 14, 31, 46 and 62. The 25-mile ride also starts and ends at the Rotary Pavilion in Willow Park. This ride follows along the scenic Mendon Road to the rest stop in Wellsville, then returns the same route. A stop in Mendon is available if needed. Great ride for the family! The 100-mile ride extends to the west of the Wellsvilles and connects to the 72-mile route near Petersboro.
